Privacy Policy

Overview
ArrivalList Inc., a Tennessee corporation (“we,” “us,” or “our”), makes ArrivalList, a location-based reminder application. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using ArrivalList, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.
Information we collect
To do its job, ArrivalList collects:
- Location data, including background location, so reminders can trigger when you arrive at or leave a saved place.
- Reminder content you create, such as location names, notes, and whether a reminder is soft or hard.
- Basic device information (device type, operating system version) used for compatibility and crash diagnostics.
- Subscription status, handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play—we do not directly collect or store your payment card details.
How we use location data
Location data is used exclusively to determine when you arrive at or leave a location you've saved, so ArrivalList can trigger the reminder you configured. We do not sell your location data, and we do not use it for advertising.
We request “Always” (background) location access, rather than only “While Using,” because ArrivalList's entire purpose is to alert you when you arrive at or leave a place even if the app isn't open—a foreground-only permission would break that core feature. You can disable location permissions at any time in your device settings, though this will prevent reminders from triggering.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your data:
- California residents (CCPA/CPRA): precise geolocation is treated as Sensitive Personal Information. We use it only to run the app's core reminder feature, never to sell it or share it for cross-context advertising, and you can request access to, deletion of, or correction of your data at any time.
- Tennessee residents (TIPA): as a Tennessee company, we extend the same access, deletion, and correction rights described above to Tennessee residents.
- We do not respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals, as no industry-standard way to honor them currently exists.
Data storage & security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, or loss. No method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Third-party services
We may use third-party services for functions such as crash reporting, analytics, and payment processing (via the App Store and Google Play). These providers only receive the information necessary to perform their function and are bound by their own privacy obligations.
Your choices
- Revoke location permissions at any time from your device settings.
- Delete individual reminders or locations directly within the app.
- Request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.
Children's privacy
ArrivalList is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll update the “Last updated” date above when we do. Continued use of ArrivalList after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
